A indication of the few things I like about religion. <br /><br />I've had fetish's before, rocks found on a beach, the fuse from a mortar shell that didn't go off next to me, a fly that my dad tied. I realize they are objects, nothing more. Their loss would not equal the loss in my memory. Objects, nothing more. The most valued thing in this genre I have was a book I found in City Lights bookstore in San Francisco decades ago, written and published in 1848, the first edition. I value it not for personal context, but that it was written when there was such passion in the world, the idea that things could and would change. <br /><br />We too are seeing the end of the season, rather earlier than usual. The Highlands south of town have a goodly coating of that white stuff I won't mention by name.
